I’ve been so incredibly busy with school and work I am slacking a bit with content. Sorry bout that I’ll try and get my life together. Anyways the new drop from Dj Barletta is an edit of The Outhere Brothers - Boom Boom Boom dating back to ‘94. Even if a club was empty the place would pop off that is how sick nasty this track is.
Are you going to vote? I am I feel it’s my personal responsibility as a Canadian to voice my opinions about global politics. I am adding The Cobrasnake to each and every ballot I get my hands on.
So I put in a few seconds of listening to poppin’ tunes with killer bass lines. Well I’ve come to conclude that these are some of my fav. and that you probably need to listen to them/download them. These base lines may not be that tech, but there solid, poppin’ and dirty beyond belief. Show some love for these artists cause they know where its at! I posted music from many artists/producers from around the world… and my man DJ Barletta/Mansion shoutin’ love from their show at Circa last night. Um… YESSSS!!!!
Anyways, how was y’all Halloween? did you dress up in some zanny gool outfits? or held your personal respect and just go as yourself? I went as Sam from Wasted Push-ups. No one got it… is that my fault? Should I have been the Henrik Vibskov Jumper? Should I have been scary like a warlock from World Of War Kraft?
On Sept 27 Come and support DJ Barletta, Golden Girls, 84.85 and TDP at Clock Tower Pub Brew. There good friends of mine and extraordinary musicians. Ottawa isn’t going to know what hit it… the flyer is witness to the night of mayhem. RSVP on the Facebook event!(They are playing in the basement… more legit I know!)
I just heard about Black Holes are from Chicago Illinois and have a heavy ghetto tech sound fused with b-more and winding synths is similar to that of Crookers, DJ Barletta and the likes but twist and alter the ghetto tech beats to a unique hum. There legitness is also raised due to the large quantity of PBR in this photo.
A long time friend of my Dj Barletta has started a much anticipated blog The Factory Press . He has only been posting for a few weeks but has defiantly established a good following and a strong base in the blogging world. As well as congrats for being invited to contribute to Bryan Cox’s blog Crux Da House.
It has been a while since I have posted anything. Mainly it is because school has picked up greatly and I’ve started a new job.
Our senior Project is slowly making progress, it still doesn’t look like too much is going on but there is! Take a gander at Emocapsule.com . I am harvesting weather data and location data from various sites storing it in our DB allowing for the collection of statistics and information comparing location, time, weather and emotions. I am also playing around with the Google maps API to use with displaying the gathered information. I have never really used that much JavaScript or played around with AJAX so it is a good excuse to learn some interesting technologies.
A few friends and I have started another blog called Doin’ Work. The name comes from the sayings of Rob and Big. The blog is just for fun and should be taken lightly.
On the music side of things, Gold Front Records has been playing some shows here in Ottawa. Our great friend DJ Barletta has been poppin’ up in blogs with some of his mixes like he owns the internet (which he does). His Daft Punk RMX was featured in MissingToof a few weeks back along side sebastiAn and Justice remixes. Here is the RMX again along with his new Ocelot mix!
JFK, former DFA1979 basest and member of the revolutionary MSTRKRFT has started doing some solo production. Some of my favorite so far are the Space Cowboy mix and the Bloc Party FLUX mix. Check them out below!
