On Thursday April 10 2008 the school of Bachleor Of Information Technology with a Major in Interactive Multimedia and Design which is tought through Carleton University and Algonquin College had their Thesis project fair. Being in 4th year I was taking part. It was a great experence! The group I was part of was EmoCapsule.com.

EmoCapsule is a study of interactivity. Participants influence the installation by inputting their emotions at emocapsule.com. The website provides users with emotional statistics and trends based on frequency, location, and weather information collected. The installation is dynamically updated to reflect the dominant emotional mood.

Visitors interact with the current emotional state of the EmoCapsule installation - depicted through sound, text, and colour. Participants move and catch emotion words using their own silhouette and other objects. Participants make loud noises, triggering the installation to emit reactive sounds and display new words. These form a sort of conversation between the user and the installation space. View a video here.

We are currently working on the submission aspect for the student SIGGRAPH Physical Interactive Installation of the conference. We are hoping that we will be accepted and be able to display our installation at this prestigious conference. If you are feeling emotional please take a look at and submit an emotion. Finally some good quality leaks have been released from the upcoming MSTRKRFT album. The beloved duo is releasing their next single on Steve Aoki’s label DimMak. The songs are so tight especially Bounce feat. N.O.R.E. But leaving Last Gang (Canadian Label) for DimMak? I guess you do what your body tells you.
